About ToolsNexus
ToolsNexus is a collection of free, no-signup utilities — 63 browser tools for PDFs, images, text and code, and 94 calculators for money, tax, health and everyday sums — built on one principle: your data shouldn't have to leave your device to get a simple job done.
Who runs it
ToolsNexus was founded by Aqil Abbas Khan, who runs it as its editor. He decides which tools and calculators get built, sets the standards they have to meet, approves every change before it goes live, and signs off on the figures behind the finance, tax and legal pages.
The site is built with AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude): code and text are drafted that way, then checked against their sources and by automated tests before anything is published. The how we verify page describes each step.
Files never leave your browser
Most online converters upload your documents to their servers. Ours don't — the processing engines run inside your browser, so merging a contract or resizing a photo happens on your machine, with nothing transmitted. There is no upload endpoint to trust, because there is no upload at all. The only tools that talk to a server are the website lookups (DNS, WHOIS, SSL), which by their nature have to send the domain name you type; the privacy policy explains exactly what goes where.
Calculators with no black boxes
Every finance, tax, legal and health calculator shows the method it uses, the official sources behind its figures, and a last-updated date; most include a worked example you can check by hand. Finance, tax and legal pages carry the reviewer's name; health pages say that the formula and sources were checked, not that a clinician reviewed them; everything else is marked as maintained by ToolsNexus. None of it is personal advice — the pages show how a figure is worked out so you can understand and check it.
How it's paid for
The tools are free, with no signups, watermarks or artificial limits. Today the site shows no ads and loads no advertising scripts. It may carry ads in the future to cover its costs; if it does, the privacy policy will change first, and the privacy model above won't. No company pays to be featured or recommended here.
