Scanned a document sideways, or received a PDF that opens upside down? Drop it above, pick an angle, and download a permanently corrected file. The fix is written into the PDF itself — free, no watermark, and the file never leaves your browser.
How to rotate a PDF
- Add your PDF — drag and drop, or browse from your device.
- Pick the rotation — 90° right (clockwise), 180°, or 90° left.
- Click Rotate PDF, then download the corrected file.
Why viewers don’t fix this
Most PDF readers let you rotate the view, but the file itself stays sideways — email it to someone and they get the same crooked pages. This tool changes each page’s stored orientation, which every reader respects. It’s the difference between turning your head and fixing the document.
Common rotation rescues
Flatbed scans that came in landscape, phone-camera “scans” taken the wrong way up, faxes (they still exist) that arrive rotated, and slide decks exported sideways. If only some pages are affected, a quick workflow: split the PDF, rotate the sideways pages here, then merge everything back in the right order. And if the file is photos rather than a PDF, JPG to PDF can build the document fresh.
Limits and tips
- All pages rotate together by the chosen angle — the tool adds to each page’s existing rotation, so pages that were already rotated stay consistent.
- Quality is untouched: rotation is metadata, not re-rendering.
- Size: files up to 100 MB.
- Encrypted PDFs need their password removed before they can be modified.
Private by design
Rotation happens in client-side JavaScript on your device. There is no upload endpoint, no processing queue, and no copy of your document anywhere but your own machine.
